I'd be willing to bet it ends or gets renumbered as a new series. Probably taking the character in "a new direction" in time for the movie.

I didn't much care for the way Spencer handled Hawkeye in the past, particularly Secret Avengers...

Now, Kot (although he might have a lot on his place, his Secret Avengers is FUN!), Hopeless, Soule or Aaron (not holding my breath on those).. um... who else would be good?

Hawkeye was (well, "is" is technically the correct tense, but "was" feels more appropriate considering I can't remember how long it's been since I read a new issue) basically an Image-esque indie book that happened to star one of the Avengers... Interesting how successful it was/is, and also that I think that success played a part in the launch of other "light"/non-superhero-ey Marvel books over the last 12 months or so.

A shame, but if Aja isn't up to doing it then better than a half hearted attempt with someone else.

Can see why someone might get tired of writing that way.
