News from C2E2 started breaking a day early at the Diamond Retailer Summit last night.

Here are some of the things we can look forward to recieving more details on as the weekend progresses:

Buffy Season 9 from Dark Horse Comics.
A new horror series from Hack/Slash creator Tim Seeley.
A G.I. Joe/Danger Girl crossover from IDW.
More Dynamite comics from Kevin Smith.
Eric Powell's The Goon going monthly.
Lots of pandering from publishers as they try to convince retailers the sky isn't falling while simultaneously dipping their toes further into the digital market.

...and lots more announcements and hype from the comics industry, including...

Marvel's Manager of Sales and Communications Arune Singh all but confirmed we'd be getting a gay marriage in Astonishing X-Men when he promised the upcoming wedding in issue #50 and #51 would piss off Glenn Beck.

The interesting one is the younger readers of DC, but companies need to do more female outreach in terms of customers and creators. Some of the DC Dark books I think would be a good place to encourage readership.
