That would be cool. The extras in Brubaker's books and DADOES have both made buying the monthlies mandatory even if double-dipping. I don't with the ICON stuff but I am still tempted to buy DADOES hardcovers later.

I don't trade-wait on Icon and Vertigo books that I really like, for fear that they will be halted or canceled if sales aren't high enough.

If DC doesn't do anything to make me cross with them, I plan to support Vertigo monthlies more from now on. ICON books, if they continue to add stuff like Nevins and others the added value virtually guarantees monthly purchase. Most of the independent stuff I buy monthly to support smaller lines than the big 2+, but that means every month those books are up for reevaluation--Sweet Tooth is a recent casualty, for example. I won't be faithful if the product doesn't 100% satisfy me. (That doesn't mean each issue has to be perfect or a "10", it's more complicated of course especially in regard to multi-issue story arcs. And I am very fickle.)

Marvel otherwise, I'm considering just not buying any longer in monthly format ever.

I buy the stuff I want to buy in singles in singles and the stuff I want to buy in trades in trades. If something's going to get canceled it's going to get canceled no matter what format I buy it in. I bought Young Liars in single issues and in trades and it still got canceled. Vertigo can go DIAF for all I care.
