True, but this isn't "blanks in the gun" kind of cliffhanger.

I hope I end up being wrong -- I really do -- but Bru really has been pushing Sharon in a bad direction for a long time. She's now in such a corner, having crossed so many moral lines and having been so terribly abused, it's hard to see how she will be redeemed in a logical and coherent way. Sure, anything's possible in comic books. The heroes can go back in time and undo the events or some such nonesense. But without pulling a silly deus ex machina, I don't see a way out for Sharon or Bru.

But I guess Cap #41 will be the most anticipated comic next month -- maybe of the whole year.

You're just playing right into what Brubaker wants you to think is going on. Don't follow that path, stay sucka-free ;)

Best issue since the death of Steve. Finally this book is going somewhere.

I thought this was a great issue and I don't ahve a major problem with the ending. I think we'll see something unexpected come of it. I'm sure once the storyline is done we'll see that this isn't the end of the world or anything. Plus I felt Sharon fighting back against the brainwashing has been awesome for the last few months. I mean she's showing so much strength of character to fight back against the drugging and brainwashing. I don't see her being written as helpless at all. She's drugged and brainwashed and in a base full of supervillains and their dozens of troops and yet she's fighting back and has been close to escape and helped others the whole time. That's fairly badass in my book.

The stab looks below the belt. Aka: she ain't gonna like going to the bathroom for quite some time.

That scene was brutal, but it fits knowing who the character who did it is. Sin's not gonna hold back when her life depends on it, and playing dirty is like bonus points for her.

But, the smack she took for it was well deserved, as was the insults afterwards.

It was a great issue. Well done, and makes the past issues worth it (even Nomad's death).

But I still miss Steve like crazy.

Do you like this as my Sig? I'm just asking because I know it's supposed to be a big deal, fairly quick.

Lord, reminds me of that old Chuck Bronson movie, Ten to Midnight. The serial killer stabbed women down there, before cutting them to pieces.

Things are rarely what they seem in this book. I have enough faith in Brubaker's writing to stick with it.

So the Nazi villains just crossed a line eh?

I'm pretty surprised at how badly everyone's overeracting to this one, there's been way worse stuff than this in the media plenty o' times before.

Well, Sin is the ultimate in Elektra complexes so maybe she didn't...

You think Sharon is being brutalized now? You should read some of Waid's Cap when he had her whoring and killing her way through some Central American jungle. Now that was character assasination.

I thought it was a great issue, but the way it was drawn, with the knife practically coming out of her crotch, seemed a bit much.

I was kinda hoping Sharon would kill Sin. Looked like it was building to the point that Sharon would break her programming, and that would certainly have done it. The stabbing was shocking, I'll admit. But this book is so well-written, I can't wait to see what happens next.

You think this is overreacting?

If this were a DC book, the internets would melt.

Truth.

I am not sure why it is that way, but it is.
