Big MOC news...

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that we're planning on launching a new website this week! We were hoping it would be ready to go up on Monday, but we've run into some snags that have been taking longer to smooth out than we anticipated. I know that some of you have been concerned because we haven't uploaded the new October catalog and I wanted to let you know the reason why. Our new site is going up this week, and when it does, I hope you all will be as excited about it as I am. If you have any questions or concerns about our new site, please don't hesitate to ask. Thank you so much for your continued support!

Sincerely,
Mitch Meyer

Haven't seen Michael Robinson's name on anything in a while. Does this Mitch Meyer fella run/own MOC now?

Not sure about that. I know I still get customer service emails from a Robinson, but I noticed as well that his name has been off it for almost the entire year.

Interesting news. Really looking forward to complain about the new site when it is up and running.

I'd be happy if they went back to the site they had before the current setup. The less complicated the better.

DCBS has updated. DC's 52 are 50% off again for all of them for the 4th month in a row!

Here's a great rundown of the latest Previews issue. I almost always find a few things in this that I otherwise might have missed. For example, I'm thinking strongly about Flex Mentallo, The Last Battle (Brereton Artwork! Looks just like his Nocturnals characters though...), Officer Downe (Joe Casey is a modern day Kirby) and Same Difference (Derek Kirk Kim). I'd also recommend the Empowered omnibus if you haven't been following it. I'd also recommend Catwoman Vol. 1 if I didn't think y'all have already read Selina's Big Score...

And because it's awesome:

LOL the fact that Marvel is doing a trade collection of all the various Spider-Man PSA books that are out there is incredibly cool.

And yes, the Power Pack "Sorta Uncle Ben tried to molest me" issue is included!

MOC's new site was up for a few minutes earlier. Not an upgrade, IMO.

Yeah, it's up... but I don't think they are done yet. Nothing really seems to be "working".

Yeah, it's a mess. No options to view by publisher and the search is wrecked.

Pull lists haven't ported over and there's no way to see if pending credits are there or not.

At least it seems like the discounts are there now (they weren't yesterday when I poked around) even if it says there are 5 75% books and it won't show them.

If they can't get the functionality up to the level of the old site I might finally break down and go DCBS.

Just did my cart at DCBS.

Their search function sucks too.

MOC is definitely making a mistake by migrating to a system more like that of what DCBS uses.

Yeah... we are expecting them to actually move the old pull lists and order histories over, yes?
