LOL adding up the total, that's what makes it a "bad month". In terms of the actual reading, that's never bad!

As for what put me over the top? LOL this month I think I'll blame all the Spider-Man books (I can't help it, I want the Spider-Verse stuff, it looks great!) and the Athena Voltaire Compendium. It may be only $10 at DCBS this month but I actually already own most of the stuff. It's the fact that the creator said he redid not only the story and art for a lot of the book, but has added a whole bunch of new material that made me order it all over again.

LOL trust me, if I wasn't getting the Silver Age Batman Newspaper Strips HC for free thanks to Amazon gift cards I'd be complaining about that too!

Adds up everything else. Sees the total. Weeps copiously.

Still probably the biggest month I'll have ever spent at DCBS it looks like.

I'm weeping now... because my list is so small compared to your list...

LOL this is why I used to say to BK and GOSD typing up our lists was the equivalency of "Who's bigger?"

I don't get cart envy personally, though I am always awed at your lists. It's too bad we lost BK and GOSD. I was hoping some more folks would step up but we're a small group at this point.

Oh well. I'll keep fighting the good fight. Here's my August cart. I couldn't resist the idea of a Cameron Stewart Batgirl so I'm dipping my toes ever so slightly back into DC for a month or so... I'm a little annoyed at 3x the Epic Collections, especially where 2 of them will be double-dipping for me (I have the Omnibuses). But I LOVE the Epic Collections and feel compelled to have complete runs, so I'm buying them.

You've already got the Omnibuses? Use some self control then you don't need them. But then if you still feel the need to have them, I'd say sell the Omnibuses for money to offset them. You don't need 2 different books of the same material.

I sometimes feel like I have battered wife syndrome especially with the October order. But I decided no to the big Green Lantern crossover starting that month. Also decided to trade wait Wytches and The October Faction, cause both John Paul Leon's and Damien Worm's art will be worth the wait.

I had no idea John Paul Leon was drawing Wytches.
Oh well, I wonder if I can have that wife syndrome without being married.

Hmmmm cut half.....first get Don Rosa Ducks if you can via Amazon. In the end it'll be cheaper there then DCBS. So might the Howard Omnibus. Fair to think Wicked & Divine and Shutter trades will be 1/2 off at DCBS so you're essentially getting 2 for the price of 1 since I think they're $10 each. If Winterworld isn't half off also, I may suggest Amazon for that and GI Joe. Again, their discounts may work out better in the end.

Good ideas! I've done that before for Fanta books. I'll sadly still have a long way to go in cutting...

Well I've already made cuts before I've even placed my order. Amazon's got a listing up for Spider-Verse in an Omnibus collection for $29 which could be a glitch for a book listed at over 600 pages. Now I won't order the regular Spider-Verse books (except for 2099 which I was already getting) and just wait for the book apparently collecting everything (including the prequel stories) and I'll just take the ones I've already paid for (after making sure they'll all be in the book) and trade them in. So that's already $20 off the next one. Time to do math again!

Course if the price stays the same at $35 when its actually solicited and DCBS does a 50% off deal..............
