Oh and GOSD I forgive you the snark towards me when I was a global mod for a weekend. The anal rules of I-Nova completely killed all things good of what once was the Rama. Now I am arrived the coc/boc are complete again!

I forget to post here. Need to do it more often. Sides I'm tired of seeing "Goodbye" posts up the wazoo over there anyway.

I already think I have my March Cart decided, so I figured I'd post it up:

Dark Horse
Pixu: The Mark of Evil
Turok, Son of Stone Archives Vol. 2
Usagi Yojimbo Vol. 23: Bridge of Tears

DC Comics
Hitman Vol. 1: A Rage in Arkham

DC CMX
Ballad of a Shinigami Vol. 1

Image Comics
G-Man Vol. 1: Learning to Fly TP
Special Forces Vol. 1 TP
I Kill Giants TP

Fantagraphics
MOME Spring 2009 Vol. 15 TP

:01 First Second
The Eternal Smile

New England Comics
The Tick and Arthur: The Complete Works TP

ONI Press
Wonton Soup Vol. 2 GN

Viz
Naoki Urasawa's 20th Century Boys Vol. 3

Once again, a ton of manga and a fair amount of old-school reprints. I'm really looking forward to Pixu, which is by perhaps my four favorite artists--Becky Cloonan, Vasilis Lolos, Fabio Moon and Gabriel Ba (and is it any wonder given their manga influences?). I'm starting to get tired of dropping $15-$20 on Tick trades. I wonder how many more there are, and if their quality starts to diminish...

Here's what caught my eye but I won't get:

DC—Vertigo
House of Mystery Vol. 2: Love Stories for Dead People
The Nobody HC

Image Comics
Dead @ 17: Ultimate Edition TP

Marvel Comics
Incredible Hercules: Love and War TP
War of Kings: Road to War of Kings TP
Thor Visoinaries: Walter Simonson Vol. 2 TP
Essential Spider-Man Vol 9 TP

Fantagraphics
Low Moon HC
Uptight #3

Viz
Children of the Sea Vol. 1
Detroit Metal City Vol. 1

The DC stuff I want, but know will be there in the future. Lemier's Nobody sounds particularly good but will have to wait. Dead@17 sounds neat but I'm sure I'd regret getting it over other things on my list. I'll want to pick up the Simonson Thor trade at some point. Same is probably true for the Essential Spidey, which is starting to get into the late 70's/early 80's (my sweet spot). I'm looking forward to War of Kings, but I'm betting the books in the "road to" collection will be entirely skippable. I've wanted to try Incredible Herc, but it's just not going to be in my budget. The two Viz comics seem passable, if mildly interesting. Can't read it all, I guess.

Midas, the Dead @ 17 trade's pretty good. You may want to change your mind if DCBS 50%'s it which I bet they will.

Although Howard will have to make another smaller trade for the material he didn't put in there:

A 3 issue prequel mini as well as 3 one shots. 2 filling in small story gaps and one a crossover he did with Josh Blaylock's DDP Misplaced character. (Ok, he may not be able to reprint that one.)

But hopefully he'll get out the rest. Right now he's got to convince enough people (myself included), he'll actually be able to get his comics out on time at Image and they just didn't sign themselves a lemon.

Thanks! I would have missed that if you hadn't posted it. First Second needs to do a little promotion when Gene Yang puts out a new book so that people can actually find out about it.

I'm trying to talk myself into this one as well, but after Eternal Smile I'm already looking at being $30 over budget. I figure DC will release this as a softcover eventually and I've had some issues with the production quality on these hardcover graphic novels anyway.
