Songbird, Mach IV, and Fixer are great examples too.

Agreed, those three are indeed good examples.

Basically, there is growth for characters in both Marvel and DC. You have to step beyond the big name characters to find it though.

Yeah, but for awhile, he was having some great developments. From Decimation, Son of M, Silent War, X-Factor. Dude was involved and had some serious moments and stories over the past few years. Of course, that was the peak and it's back to his status quo.

I think he's pretty much in the same place as he was in 1992. A loveable anti-hero who has completely lost any "edge"

It may not be in the way you'd want it to go, but I'd say that he is still growing as a character in Winter Soldier.

Quicksilver hasn't been good since PAD stopped writing him.

Yeah he was such an interesting character after Son of M and Silent War. Those books really did something new and awesome with Quicksilver, and I couldn't wait to see where he ended up next.

Oh, Mighty Avengers. He said he was a Skrull and back to the same old. Fair enough.

I think Flash Thompson has experienced some significant character growth in the last few years.

He's not alone either.

There has been both good and bad that has come with the reboot, but the loss of a lot of really good character growth amoungst DC's minor characters has to go under the bad category.

I love how the answer is Cyclops and yet about 2 threads down from this, we've got a thread where people are speculating how the writers can change him back.

Sigh.

If they weren't created in the 60s, they don't deserve growth.
