Comic/Graphic Novel Trading

Postby Keb » Thu Jan 10, 2013 11:26 am

I know we have Big Dog's thread but I'm wondering if any of you would be willing to start a trading group for GNs. Normally I'd just sell them to a used book store but I'm more than willing to try something new.

Anyone belong to one of these groups?

I was on sequentialswap but a lot of the time its everybody trying to get rid of the same old crap.

I wouldn't mind moving out a few trades I got for Xmas for new reading material

KING CITY TPB
FURY MAX VOL. 1 (this was great)

I looked at Sequential Swap last night and while the idea is solid, the site didn't look very active. Hence my gauging interest on message boards.

I have to go to my brother's house and take a look at my shelf thoroughly before I figure out exactly what I have.

I'd like to get on King City. I'm selling off my collection right now, but still have lots of good stuff that I haven't put on EBay yet. What do you like?

I used Sequential Swap around 2-3 years ago. It was good then, but there is a problem with everyone pretty much offering up the same old shit.

Oh, I read a lot of stuff. Not so much current mainstream DC or Marvel superheroics, but most other stuff. Probably looking for self-contained stuff or the first volumes of a series, not vol 5 or whatever of a series I haven't started.

I've made about 5 or 6 trades on sequential swap since joining. I rarely take that active a role- most of those have been me waiting for people to make offers. Got some good Vertigo stuff in exchange for Marvel books I'm not going to read again.

That said, I'm up for trading wherever. I'd say that if the idea gets its own little nook of the outhouse, a post-count minimum might be a good idea.
