The three Nu52 titles are confirmed canceled as of December and January, but Superman: Unchained lives on!
When DC's January solicitations were released yesterday, dozens of fans were disappointed to learn that The Green Team: Teen Trillionaires would see its final issue that month. More ambiguous, however, were the lack of solicitations for Justice League of America's Vibe and Katana, as well as Superman: Unchained. ComicBookResources has just confirmed via their incestuous, payola-laden relationship with DC Comics that Vibe and Katana are indeed canceled, with the December issues being the last for the books. Superman: Unchained, however, is simply skipping January, because superstar artist Jim Lee can't be expected to draw a monthly comic for more than six issues in a row, and really, we should be grateful he even managed that.
"Costumes with ridiculous high collars and unnecessary seam lines aren't going to redesign themselves," explained Lee, who is reportedly hard at work napping in a warm, sunny spot on the carpet in his living room.
At press time, DC numerologists were working around the clock to ensure that February will see 52 ongoing DC titles solicited, citing "a general feeling of impending doom if they don't" as the motivation to compulsively publish exactly that many books every month.
