Although it's usually evening or night where I'm from when the topic goes up.

I start work Wednesdays at 7:30, well before the nomination thread goes up. I'm out of the house most of the day. The same thing usually happens Thursday. By the time, I get on line next on Friday, it's well past the time of being too late to bother. :smt102
