It'd pointless to try to counter every point you made since these are opinions and not facts, but as someone who loved that run for everything it is, ABOVE ALL for what it is some of the best art to ever touch this series for so beautifully accentuating the reality this book was so stunningly set in despite being in a universe where the impossible happens, I find it remarkable that opinions like yours, while valid, I guess, are out there in regards to this run and, conversely, in your case, Nocenti's run, too.
like I've said on here many, many times, I fully realize I'm practically the lone fish swimming upstream in regard to both those runs, but I don't care.
no one's ever gonna convince me that Bendis's run is great, and no one's ever gonna convince me that Nocenti's run isn't. like you said, they're opinions, and mine are pretty dead-set.
one point of contention, however:
Maleev's art is over-traced, sketchy, muddy, eyebleed-inducing chickenscratch crap. that's just fact.
and on a book that's included artists such as JRSR and Jr., Colan, Mazzuchelli, Miller, Nord, Lark, Samnee, Marcos Martin, and others...saying it's some of the best art to ever touch the series is damn close to sacrilege IMO
