I've been going through some of your old reviews to decide what I might pick up next.

Definitely gonna try and get that Casanova HC. I saw it in the comic shop and almost bought it...

Casanova and Sons of Empire are the best of what I've reviewed lately (though with the Fables trade you'd need to have read the preceding volumes first).

Up soon: 52 Vol 1 and Mike Carey's novel The Devil You Know.

I will admit, I'm not a fan of Fables.

Didn't read the Sons of Empire review. I'll go back and do so now.

If you ever do decide to give it another shot, the first trade isnt' the best by a long shot. It does a lot to set up the characters and their situation, but the story itself is a pretty bland murder mystery. It picks up right after, though.
