As pointed out by John Jackson Miller at www.comichron.com

the percentage drop is mainly down to the fact that in January 2010. 683 comics were released, in January 2011, 555 comics were released. The difference between 683 and 555? wow it's 23%.

DC didn't release Flash, Green Lantern or Batman Inc in January, which will explain the individual drop off by them.
