I thought it was supposed to, but it didn't come out in the store I usually shop at. The staff told me they didn't get any copies.

Hopefully you can get a copy.

Not just that but it's practically a must read if you are reading JSA. I don't see why it couldn't have been a regular issue instead of a Annual. It was longer than normal, but that's really the only difference.

Oh well...I haven't been following JSA lately so there's no use in me even trying to get it. If I remember correctly, it's supposed to be PG-centric, right?

Thanks, I should be able to get a copy. Even if worst comes to worst, I should be able to get a copy at the Toronto Comic Con in just a few weeks.

I actually prefer it when Annuals are "must read"

Makes them special instead of just throw-away stories.

I like that too, but I prefer if it isn't the middle of an ongoing arc. If you use the story to start a new arc or introduce new characters or tease a future threat, that's what I prefer. This was just the middle issue of an ongoing arc. I loved it, but it isn't a good place for a new reader to jump in. I think Annuals should be a good place to jump in.

agreed. give me something like where the big Starfire/Blackfire story or Judas Contract concludes in an Annual, or the Sinister Six make their first appearance, or Power Girl gets shunted to Earth-2 over a throwaway anyday.

I forgot that I like conclusions of storylines in Annuals as well. It's a good way to have the oversized issue. But the other examples are all set ups that are great jumping on points.

I think it was. You really didn't have to know anything about the JSA story to understand what's going on in this story.

However, the ending wasn't much of an ending. It's not a stand-alone issue. I admit I was kind of hoping it would be, but I guess they wanted new readers to c'mon back to the JSA regular title at the end.
