No I'm not saying that at all. If you can't grasp how having dc's big gay character be the creeper is offensive to a gay person there is no point in continuing this conversation. My friends mom who's 70 finds the idea of having the creeper offensive.

Maybe I wasn't clear. So the parameters are that we haven't seen the character yet- so the suggestion is that Captain Marvel/Shazam is gay (we haven't seen him) but Billy is not (we have seen him). As a wish fulfillment character, a straight person choosing to be gay is going to be found offensive all around (from both the people who will hate this anyway and from the gay community- most of the evidence, belief, and the work they've done is along the lines that sexual preferences are not a choice). I don't see it.
If Billy is gay, then yes, CM/Shazam should be gay. But based on the "we haven't seen them yet" thing it seems unlikely or the clue is a lie.

Most straight people find gay people creepy, why not play it up to strike fear into the hearts of evil doers? Oh right, because this isn't about a gay super-hero, this is about advancing an agenda to enforce tolerance in straight people. Now media becomes propaganda. The Creeper can't be gay because it will queer the deal, because it'll scare the hetros.

Fuck that, have some fun and scare am all! You guys need a kick ass anti-hero, I know I love righteous heroes, I'd pay to see The Creeper torment homophobic bullies. I think the gay community would be better served by a hero that didn't offend straight people, like a gay Nightwing or Flash or Shazam.

If the gay community wants us on their side, then they should give us a gay super-hero that would appeal to straight people. The best scenario would be to create a new character, but if they are going to out an existing character then the best bet would be to pick one that will alienate straight people the least.

Then why on Earth should homosexuals get "equal" representation? That's distorted significance to establish an illusion of normalcy for deviant sexual behavior. It's your life, you only get one so do what ever you need to to be happy. Why do you need to live in a world where everyone is brainwashed into supporting your lifestyle? What do you care what people think? Why would you give bullies the satisfaction that their words can hurt you?

I'd argue that bisexuality occurs in hundreds of species and the occurrence of same sex pair bonding is much less frequent. But I'm not denying it happens, nobody likes to be lonely.

Homophobia used to be an irrational fear of homosexuality, now anyone who is not pro gay all the way is a homophobe. Talk about dehumanizing a large group of people. I don't deny gay people the rights that I enjoy, but I still find their lifestyle repulsive. I guess it's only a matter of time before my "thoughcrime" becomes a "hate crime" and I'll be persecuted soon enough.

Speaking as a straight man, I just want to say that I find pretty much everything that you said to be offensive. Anyways, the reason why "a lot" of straight men don't respect women is because going back as far as recorded history will allow women have been treated as inferior. That isn't an opinion that is an absolute fact. It certainly isn't because they are weaker or any nonsense such as that. It's because idiot fathers raise their children to believe the same idiotic concepts that they were raised to believe.

The same can be said of race and now sexual orientation. The only reason people are intolerant of somebody who is different than them is because somebody at some point in time decided that they were different and because they just happened to be in a higher position of power at the time, they decided that it was ok to persecute them for it.

I don't know how you act around your friends but I actually like my friends and they seem to like me. We don't spend our free time bullying each other. I don't know, it just doesn't seem to fit into our definition of having fun.

Nobody is trying to brainwash anybody into tolerating their lifestyle. People are simply trying to prevent the United States government from taking away more and more rights away from a large group of it's citizens simply because another large group of people don't understand or like them. It didn't work out well for this country when we did it in the past, I don't know why some people think it will work out well now.

So because some people consider homosexuality to be a "deviant sexual behavior" they should just be ignored by the media and just deal with the abuse they receive from hate filled bigots? Wow, so by that logic if CNN suddenly decided that they didn't like Jewish people because they considered them heathens, they should just be allowed to stop reporting any and all news related to them? Or, would it be ok for Warner Brothers to stop hiring women because they suddenly decided that they were the inferior sex and couldn't work as well as a man?

So it's ok for people to persecute gay people because people bully each other time and the strong pick on the weak, smart pick on the dumb, hip pick on the square. However, it wouldn't be fair to turn that around on the people doing the persecuting. Poor racists, sexists, and bigots. They can't handle being treated in the same way that they treat others. It would hurt their poor feelings.
