Disney Counters Comcast, Raises Fox Bid To .3 Billion

Fox agrees that $71.3 billion is better than $65 billion.

Source: Variety

Disney has seen Comcast's $65 billion bid for Fox and flexed its muscle raising it's initial offer of $52.4 billion to $71.3 billion in cash and stock. Summarizing a statement from Fox, they said, "This is way more money than Disney's initial offer and of course we'll take an extra $6 billion. Thanks bb."

As part of the deal, Disney would acquire 20th Century Fox, Fox’s film studio, as well as a cable group that includes FX Networks, National Geographic, and several international channels and regional sports networks. Also included is Fox’s 30% stake in Hulu and 39% interest in European satellite broadcaster Sky. Fox meanwhile would retain its news divisions.

It looks like its time that Fantastic Four and the X-Men come home to Marvel.

Comcast getting Fox would be the lesser of two evils.

Not if I get a GOOD FF/Doom movie made by Marvel Studios before the endtimes, I don't.
