Disney: To Infinity (Base) And Beyond

It's a game! It's a Toy! It's got a purple dragon saying "hmmnn..."

Disney announced their next new experience in entertainment with their announcement of Disney Infinity. It's a video game with both a campaign mode and a "toy box" mode (also seen in their Toy Story 3: The Video Game) which allows for some building/creation options.

Not only is it a video game, but it also has a collectible component. Yes, similar to another game franchise, there are figurines that store character data  that you can use in the videogame. Place these figurines on an Infinity Base hooked up to your system and the characters and their accumulated experience and items can be used.

The starter pack will contain three stories involving Monsters University, Pirates of the Carribean, and The Incredibles. Like the other game, you can use these figures with different platforms. You can have two-player local games as well as four-player network games.

Disney Infinity is scheduled for a June 2013 releeae for XBox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, PC, and mobile.

Okay so let's see Marvel and Star Wars added next okay?
