What books if any have you quit buying lately?

Why for?

I dropped Fatale after last month. The new issue today seemed like it was going to open up the already-too-expansive chronology of the now-mythological Femme Fatale and begin telling barely-related stories in a larger fictional milieu. And honestly, I was barely hanging on already. The transformation of the character of Josephine from a victim of forces beyond her control into a super-powered and malignant entity in the last couple issues, as well as recent talk being of expanding the book beyond its original premise and length, killed any and all interest I had.

My experience is that when things are expanded far beyond the initial conception, mediocre crap ensues.

Justice League -- b/c it's awful and i finally kicked the habit
World's Finest -- because Levitz was sucking the life out of me in a book featuring 2 of my favorite artists of all time
Secret Avengers -- i held on too long with Remender's run, and have no interest in the new status quo
Winter Soldier -- left when Bru & Guice did

immediately dropped Avengers Arena after 1 issue

and what may be next:
Swamp Thing -- definitely dropping after Rotworld
Animal Man -- probably the same
Aquaman -- losing interest
Fatale -- pretty much same reasons Squid stated

I'm cool with Fatale. Most of Bru/Phillips' characters in Criminal were complete pieces of shit, so Jo being a piece of shit doesn't really bother me. And the book is revealing JUST enough of the back story every issue to keep me coming back. I agree, though, that we're 12 issues in and the premise should be apparent already.

I dropped Batman after today's issue. It's just been a year and a half of well-written, gorgeously drawn meandering.

I dropped All-New X-Men after issue 6. I just got fucking bored of the "____ meets the original X-Men. They interact, Both parties agree or disagree and then go their own way." I'm going to miss that Immonen art, though.

I'm on the fence with Superior Spider-man. I split the book with a friend (real copy for him, digital code for me); if I were paying full price, I definitely would have dropped it by now. It's not that I think the book is shit, it's just that I don't care about Otto Octavius at all. And this is coming from someone who--until reading Big Time--despised Peter Parker.

I'm also on the fence with Uncanny Avengers. It's been a real snoozefest so far full of characters I don't care about. Also, the whole "Describing what's going on in an unimportant bystander's life moments before they die" motif has been done before. I stick around because I know deep down that Remender is better than this.

the first was Avengers. i agree, it ain't that great.

the second...you should really read issues 2 and 3 of New Avengers, RU. trust me when i tell you it all makes sense...and kicks much ass.

Action Comics: *yawn*
Captain America: I left when Bru did.
Dial H: was bored with the title - it promised much and delivered little.
Animal Man and Swamp Thing are dropped after Rotworld.
Justice League Dark: it's okay, I guess, but I remain unconvinced that LeMire and Fawkes actually get any of these characters.
Fairest: I decided just to trade-wait arcs that appeal.
