Just tried to read a copy of the second hardcover from a local library and I only made it two issues in.

In all honesty, what's the appeal of the series?

It's if Menos: the Hands of Fate were put onto comic book form. That's the attraction to it. The comic is so bad... you can't help but chuckle at how purposely badly written it is:

I like it. I like Barbara Gordon (would rather she was still Oracle, but oh well) and I like Gail Simone. While this definitely isn't her strongest work, I think the book is still enjoyable.
