It's true that Rob Liefeld is a horrible artist and writer. I would be hard pressed to find worse. He may even be a horrible human being, judging by the way he acts online. The guy is unprofessional and can't hit a deadline for the life of him. He still has accomplished a lot in his career.

Cable, Deadpool, Domino and Shatterstar are four characters Liefeld created that are still used to this day. How many people have created four long lasting Marvel characters in recent times or ever? Liefeld helped form Image comics. Image comics is one of the biggest comic book publishers and has been around for 20 years. Liefeld created Youngblood, Supreme, Glory, Prophet, Bloodstrike and Avengelyn. All those titles are being published to this day. Those titles might have sucked under Liefeld but he still created them. At the time of its release, Youngblood #1 was the highest selling independent comic book ever. X-Force #1 sold a record 5 million copies when it was released and still remains the second highest selling comic book of all time.

I think he can look back on his career and be pretty proud of what he achieved, even though he can't draw feet.

as me and gheru stated he did created popular characters that became more popular thanks to other writers and artists,i didnt say he didnt deserved credit for creating them, what i thought was very very wrong was the statement in which hes better artist than some of marvel and dcs talent...

Then I urge you to enter your local comic book establishment, pick up Wolverine Max #1, and see what Marvel are passing off as art these days. Its one of the most unprofessional jobs I've ever seen in a book.

fucked up some DC comics and insulted a couple of colleagues?

Grifter and Hawkman were fucked up way before Liefeld got his hands on them.

he's like those fading classic rock stars that keep putting out new albums no one wants
except he never finishes them (Image United, Youngblood)

Dylan wrote All Along The Watchtower, but its Hendrix cover that gets more play
The Four Lads first recorded Istanbul (Not Constantinople) but its TMBG that made it popular

Deadpool was created by Liefeld, but Kelly and Fabian made him who he is (for better or worse)
Cable was a waste of space until X-Cutioner's Song - by then the Image guys had jumped ship
Domino is still a side character few people would pick up a book just for her (I'm one of them, except when Gishler wrote her)
and Rob has fought every change that has made Shatterstar interesting

i read that book, wolverine max#1,and even thought the artist is clearly sub par,hes relatively at ease with a myriad of situations, when leifield always draws the same expressions, the missing limbs and the curving guns,i understand hat he created deadpool and he should be reconized for that but as gheru pointed out its more complicated cuz he created them but didnt make them rise to popularity,i have the books with toliver and copy cat and all the pouches and they werent that big of a deal, still i find him to be a very horrible "artist" and its quite difficult to find in the big 2 someone that bad,hes controversial lately not a big name artist, but its only my opinion of the matter i hold no grudge against him or you,i just think with all my might that hes horrible at drawing

in all honesty, I'd rather have Liefeld work on a book than Land
at least Liefeld draws his own stuff (no tracing) and the characters don't look stiff and creepy (I mean really, Land's runs on Uncanny made me feel icky, how many pore filled fuck-me faces does one book need?)

I wonder if Land gets turned on by his own drawings because when he sees them he remembers the porn he referenced them from...
