The carousel of artists on Fantast Four spins again and Ron Garney gets his turn drawing the time traveling, father-son bonding, Ben Grimm stalking antics this month and it's another lovely issue that makes me glad Hickman is carrying n past his initial storyline's conclusion.

hands down my favorite single issue by Hickman; FINALLY we get back to some solid character moments for the actual main members, and it is simply fantastic; loved the touching little moments between Frank and his Uncle Ben, and Hickman gives us a GREAT little coda scene that really shows something we normally only get told by most writers, that Reed and Ben really are best friends despite their vast differences; this one pitched right into my wheelhouse as an FF/Thing fan

It's there. It's just very black and small.

It's close for me on this one and the return of Johnny Storm, he nails both moments so well.

Garney's art helps with the story too.
When Ben looks over at Reed at the end, you "feel" the affection that he has for Reed.
Just awesome all around.

I could feel it trying to get emotional with me right there on the rack, so I skipped FF this month.

My favorite issue of Fantastic Four in years. That last page knocked it out of the park for me.

This was a really really good issue. Hickman's run is a little hit and miss for me but this was a perfect one and done. He nailed Ben and Reed's relationship and I loved the called back to Ben being incredibly long lived as a result of his powers. That's something Kessel brought up years ago in the 1998 annual(btw also an awesome comic.Really an all time favorite of mine). I haven't loved a FF issue this much since Waid/Ringo's last issue.

He said "heart" not your...
Everyone knows GOSD has a heart he pulled from some random animal on his shelf. He was just pulling at the Purkinje fibers in that heart.

ditto. which also btw was a big Reed/Ben's relationship focused issue.
