Fear Agent

I just finished the fourth trade. Seriously, is there a better science fiction book out on the market today? This is quickly climbing up my list of favorite books.

Which book(s) would you consider better?

Fear Agent has its flaws, but as an overall package it has really impressed me. I LOVE this type of story; whether it be comic, book, movie, anime, tv show, and so on.

I love it. It's magic. I think the arcs without Tony Moore have been better--no real correlation as I love his artwork--but the stories I've liked the most seem to be by Opena & Remender.

I absolutely LOVE Fear Agent...one of my top 5 books hands down!

I just bought the original art for the back cover of #2 off of e-Bay. I'd love to pick up a Tony Moore Heath Huston con sketch one of these days!

I hate to break it to you, but the series is going on indefinite hiatus after the current arc is completed.

WHA? LINK PLZ. I know Remender said in a letters column that there would be a break while Moore finished the next arc, but...

He posted it on twitter. At the time he said (and I'm paraphrasing) that he just finished the last page of Fear Agent story ever. And he got slammed with people begging to keep going. He came back a few minutes later and said that it would be on an extended break. He never gave a timetable of thehiatus, but extended, well it speaks for itself...

I have a feeling image pulled the plug on his forum when he took Fear Agent to Dark Horse. Dark Horse has a Fear Agent listing on their message boards...

i just don't believe this--the news, not your post. Remender has consistently said that he will always write Fear Agent and it's where his heart & soul go in terms of writing.

wait:

http://movieblog.ugo.com/index.php/movieblog/more/ny_comic_con_talk_with_rick_remender_about_fear_agent/

After the current arch is done, Fear Agent will stop publishing for a little while, allowing the creative team some time to recharge their batteries and work on the next batch of issues to also have them come out on a timely fashion once they DO start to publish again.

I have a feeling that they'll start doing more of the Tales of the Fear Agent with guest creators before they go back to the regular storyline. Opena is on Punisher with Remender and Tony landed Ghost Rider with Aaron, so their career are all on the rise (as they should be) I imagine that has as much to do with it as anything.

I was one of the freak outs when he posted that on twitter, so I'm right there with you. I want Fear Agent to go on for a LONG time. If that means a year or so break then so be it, but don't stay gone too long!
