On topic, I think you would have to be sick or insane to spend around $45 on another Batman origin.

i never predicted a set specific time. i said sooner than later, and that it wouldn't surprise me if he was back by the end of Morrison's run (there'd be your 4 issues), but i never definitively called that shot.

seriously, why do you people think i made the bet in the first place? exactly b/c i never tied it down to a set date...i just said he'd be back. i ain't exactly in the business of doing anything stupid enough to cause myself to carry a Trampantula avatar around this place EVER. it's all you non-reading-comprehension folks who keep trying to think you've "caught" me in something i never said.

chap22 wrote:look, i ain't saying he doesn't kill him. obviously he does. but the kid's coming back, it's just a matter of when. and yes, fieldy, i personally think he comes back within the next 4 issues (although that wasn't the bet), publicity be damned.

Your memory fails you, you pompous gasbag.

I wasn't talking about your bet, bald-for-brains. Think twice before you try and insult someone's reading comprehension, both my reading comprehension and my memory beats yours.

i was talking about the bet (since that's what everybody else keeps trying to hold me to), so don't "pompous gasbag" me, oh most-humble one. :P

So Chap, someone was dumb enough to make a bet with you that something would happen in comics "eventually"?

Oh Master Reading Comprehension Instructor, it's true, you have made many different predictions about Damian. I will merely refer you back to my post:

I believe you said "in 4 issues" or along those lines last time.

Where it was ever so obvious from the context that I was not referring to your bet, but the most recent prognostication I remembered you making, wise old Nostradamus that you are. (And afterwards quoted the post you then claimed you never made.)

I humbly beg your pardon if this has caused offense.

I'm pretty sure that actually wasn't "the last time" I've posted about this, but feel free to search my post history to tell me if I'm right or not. ;)

You have made many, many different predictions, Chapstradamus, and even on the same subject they do tend to vary. But that was the last one that I recalled specifically.

Perhaps your memory serves you better? :groucho:

It's what I've been saying for years, man. Anytime you reach back to resurrect Barry Allen, and furthermore, tamper with his backstory, it's clear that you have just as much -- if not MORE -- of a vested interest in the past as the fans do.

As for Snyder, it's clear that he's out of ideas, and went for the easy way of filling up almost a year's worth of comics.

You are dead on with this, Herald. It's unbelievable to me how often companies and creators do this, then get pissed with readers for asking which of the six Superman origins/timelines they've been told are canon.

Main question is, is this DC's way to reboot the reboot without admitting they fucked up?

I'm really of the mind that DC is just throwing the proverbial shit at the wall hoping something sticks. Ugh.

He'll probably be brought back by Judd Winnick as the Blue Hood after working with several villains to stick it to Batman for not avenging him and he and Jason Todd can shoot the breeze and compare their life stories.

Hmmmm...

What if Harper Row becomes the new Oracle or Harold (NOT Robin, I hope) and the Zero Year is Bats telling her how he became Batman?

Not that I want that to happen but I wouldn't be shocked.
