"Christ, didn't Geoff Johns just write a Batman origin story last year?" said yet another non-existant fan.

yes, that's right.

fieldy apparently tried to make a bet on his misreading of what i was saying, and is now claiming i "lost".

i said Damian would be back sooner than later (and yeah, eventually even said i thought he'd likely be back by the end of Morrison's run). Nacireman said well, maybe, but he won't be Robin. i said, betcha a shiny quarter he's still Robin, obviously meaning he'd still be Robin when he came back so that the Batman & Robin title would still be Batman and Robin featuring Bruce & Damian. fieldy then piped in and made a bet, apparently thinking i was saying he'd still be alive and still be Robin at the end of Batman, Inc. #8 or something (honestly, i'll admit it...i have no idea what he thinks i meant, the bet was never specific, that's why i made it :D )

I've had enough of origin stories.

Glad to hear he's improved since the 90s when he used to draw a little bit like Liefeld.

TimDrake'sDumbWings wrote:11 issues!?!?!? How do you arrive at such an arbitrary number? Did the Bat editors say "Wellllll, we don't want anyone to accuse of of wasting A WHOLE YEAR on an origin story that's been told before, so let's just ALMOST do that!" ?

I think there was about 11 seconds of Batman's origin that was not covered in the comic books.

There's your answer.

Scott Snyder has joined the not-so-exclusive club of vastly-overrated comic book writers IMO.

Really? What about his non-Batman projects?
