DC Press

Starting with next month’s issue #17, Tom Taylor will join series artist Nicola Scott to serve as the new ongoing creative team of this New York Times bestselling series. In the duo’s inaugural issue, readers will witness the fury and power of the evil Superman of Earth 2, who’s preparing the planet for Darkseid’s rule! Can Doctor Fate use his magic to stop him before it’s too late? Meanwhile, Red Tornado’s surprising origin will be revealed, and the new Batman of Earth 2 will join the series’ main story for the first time and become a major player going forward!

“Big changes are on the way,” Taylor teased about the series’ new arc. “New faces are coming. Batman's identity will be revealed. Red Tornado's role will probably come as a surprise. And what comes from beneath Arkham is ... No, I've said too much.”

I liked the Superman reveal last issue but I would be horribly disappointed if we were to discover that Earth 2 Batman is actually Bruce Wayne.

I remember this book never being called JSA, Justice Society, or Justice Society of America but instead Earth 2. :smt102

Whether you like the current state of DC or not, Earth 2 is a good book. Nothing "blind" about pointing that out.

None are so blind as those who can't pull the stick out of their ass long enough to recognize a great title that also wins "Comic Of The Week" nearly every month it comes out :P

Lets see if the lack of Robinson will affect that.

We'll see if that trend continues now that Robinson is gone no? Why are you going instantly to the "__ Of the Week" for every time you answer about DC? I don't go around blasting about so and so won ___ and ___. Your blind DC loyalty is showing.

Is it me or does Earth 2 Superman remind me a lot of Red Son Superman mixed with the Eradicator and Ultraman?

We're not talking about DC in general you goon. But feel free to continue trying to use that smoke-screen to support your rabid tirades. I'm stating an "Earth 2" fact. While you just continue to bitch about something with absolutely no knowledge of it just for sake of bitching :P

I still haven't gotten the second trade. So is Superman the only one from issue #1 to come back? (so far?)
Is he resurrected & brainwashed or did they go ghola or reanimate his corpse with another personality? (Dr. Bedlam would have been cool)

Yes, this alternate version of Superman looks a lot like other alternate versions of Superman.
