Ghost Rider Tired of Getting Rained On, Switches Bike for Car

You think rain gives you a bad hair day? Think about what it does for flames.

An all-new Ghost Rider is coming in 2014 and the Spirit of Vengeance has himself some new wheels to go with his new book and new identity.  But, in keeping with the Nic Cage demographic, they made sure to switch the chopper out for a hotrod.  Find out more at Comic Book Resources.

Since it's a brand new character it could work. Having said that it has an equal chance of not working.

I may check out the first issue just to see which it is.

A Dodge Charger? Lame. Should have gone with something more fitting.

And with a name like Ghoast RIDER, how come we haven't gotten a parody from Vivid yet?

I don't mind the car...it's the character redesign that looks like ass.

WTF is this rank?

Bah, the design of the character is the best part. Very "Bleach."

So the new Ghost Rider now looks like a Dukes Of Hazzard character fron Hell? Uh, remind me again why we need a new Ghost Rider outside of Johnny Blaze as the last replacement they tried to stick us with flopped when she got her own series.

I'd point out that Dan Ketch was successful, giving a case in which Johnny Blaze can be replaced as Ghost Rider without things going wrong. Don't get me wrong, I like johnny Blaze, but I'm not about to dismiss this series simply because he's not the star. Ghost Rider isn't the same as Spider-Man where it's difficult to replace Peter Parker. Ghost Rider's history shows that a new character can take Johnny Blaze's place.

I agree here as I did like Dan Ketch myself but that was mainly because they found a way to tie Johnny Blaze in to that character's relevance and made him a key character alongside him. With John and Danny you got a believable and compelling partnership but that dynamic didn't work so well with that female Ghost Rider no one cared for recently. Chances are I would like to see how well anyone likes the new GR before giving him his own series, just saying.

So seeing as how the new GR seems like a Dukes Of Hazzard reject with that car, will his arch-nemesis be a demonic version of Boss Hogg? :-D :-D :-D :-D
