im reading this right now and get a feeling that its just pure elegance on how he's structured it. the way everything is supposed to be compared to what we're able to absorb from the issue itself. the interview just had so much substance that refreshed me after the "WTF" moments i had from the books.

the metron thing in particular caught my eye.

I always had faith in him, but this interview just reaffirms it really. :-)

I'm actually following Final Crisis pretty easily. It's Batman RIP where I have no clear idea what's going on; I read the last issue and thought, "When did Bruce Wayne become a Heroin addict." I'll have to go back and start that arc over again.

I think I know where he's going with that story and it seems pretty cool.

BTW, Final Crisis is the only crossover I've been following every issue and all the spin-offs for and I'm not disappointed in the least.

The first two issues of the series have been really cool and Requiem and Rogue's Revenge were both awesome.

The quality of the creative teams on the spin-offs is top notch! You rarely see that for crossovers these days.

I feel the same way about FC. I love the peripheral stuff for SI, but the main title is meh.

I agree, 100%. Rucka, Morrison, Johns, etc. Top-shelf talent for a top-shelf event.

As to the interview, yeah, no one really gives interview as well as Grant. I love reading these, and he just seems to rattle things off as if it's all so natural and easy.

Reading the interview just gets me more and more excited about the rest of the event. I have no idea where its going and I love it for it.

And that last page of the rogues tie in....HOLY CRAP!?

Oh, I just read that issue today. Wow! Great Stuff. I thought the whole issue was great -- from the Rogues beating up the thugs, turning down Libra's offer, Inertia killing the police (that was pretty badass), and then the last page. Geoff Johns -- I don't know how he does it.

And Scott Kolins -- that is my favorite art style that he uses. I was never a fan until Omega Flight -- then he did those issues of Countdown, which I didn't care for, but this is A+ stuff.

I have a feeling Iris will be Kid Flash eventually (yes, even despite the most recent issue of The Flash).

If The Life Story of Barry Allen is still canon, Iris will most likely be Kid Flash, it mentions something about (and I'm paraphrasing) 'the triumph of their daughter and the tragedy of the son'

The son mentioned isn't called Jai, so it's questionable whether it's still in canon, IMO it's probably not, but y'never know

Iris would also make sense considering they look like they're moving toward a lot of the Kingdom Come stuff.
