John Stewart’s death sentence leads to predictable consequences, with the regular GL’s kick starting a war against the Alphas. I’m hoping that by the end of this arc, the Alpha Lanterns will be history, because really, they’re a dumb idea, or at least, a dumb visual. The most interesting thing to me where was the way Tomasi depicted John Stewart, he seems resigned to his fate, not fight back etc, what’s going on with him? Is he suicidal? Does he have a secret plan? Either way, the scene where he was confronted with Kirrt’s family was brutal. Also, what was with that scene where Kirrt’s replacement as GL for his sector only had the ring for seconds? They aren’t going to reveal that Kirrt’s not actually dead are they? That would make sense as some sort of secret plan from John, but it would also be laaame.
