Marvel promised to cut down on the crossover events and then promptly released Shadowland which features Daredevil, Spider-Man, The New Avengers, Ghost Rider and every street level hero in NYC. Chaos War is already promising to include the X-Men & Avengers. It's really ridiculous.
I'm sorry but no
Chaos war and Shadowland have all been building for years and neither would make sense if they did not include the other characters some how.
Chaos war deals with the realm of death on the Marvel U, and just the same amount of people would complain if Alpha Flight, the DEAD Avengers and / the DEAD X-Men were not mentioned
same with Daredevil blocking off a whole subdivision of New York; people would bitch up a storm if it looked like all the rest of the NY based heroes ignored it.
Chaos war will have one essential book - Chaos War
Shadowland had (barely) 2 - Shadowland and Daredevil
neither of these are events like one the level of Siege or Civil War or anything else
and, if people want tie-ins to go away, stop falling for them - 99% of the time they do not matter, and whats worse is that we all know it.
Futhermore, can some one name the last "event" that had an definable ending? AoA sure as heck didn't, according to this place nothing since has - so, when thinking about the last 15+ years of comics, where do we get off expecting Events to equal the end?
