Well, with this ish, the first arc of Incognito ends. All in all, I'd say it was a fun run, with enough good ideas to keep me interested. This final installment is solid, and wraps up all the plotlines while, at the same time, it leaves the possibility for another Incognito story to emerge.
Bru, in his closing notes, says that he and Sean will do another Incognito arc as soon as they finish the Criminal story they are currently working on. I'm not sure how I feel about that. Although I have enjoyed Inconginto, I'm not exactly thrilled that it halts production on Criminal for such a long time. I prefer Criminal to Incognito, but I can imagine Incognito becoming very, very interesting as many more storylines unfold and characters develop further. The best superhero stories are those with a lot history--and soap opera--behind them. The only way to turn Incognito into a great superhero universe is to tell many more interconnected stories.
So I will definitey buy the next installment of Incognito. But I will probbaly do so with the frustration of not being able to buy Criminal. I fear, in fact, that because Incognito has outsold Criminal by a lot that Bru and Sean will be motivated to concentrate more on the guys in tights than the guys with guns and bad dames.
