Title: Internet Celebrity

Iron Man

Postby MoneyMelon » Sun Feb 24, 2008 12:43 pm

Does Iron Man really need two monthly books? I just realized Marvel's launching a second Iron Man monthly. I think it's a bit much.

I mean, I love the character. He's been one of my favorites since I was a kid, but I don't think he needs two titles.

I'm looking forward to the Las Vegas thing, though. Gravnov's art is phenomenal.

Yes. Yes, he does.

I think Iron Man is probably one of the more interesting comic book characters and I don't feel that Marvel, current writers, and past writers have scratched the surface with what can be done with him.

Well, it means they can focus on the heroic super stuff in one book and the political intrigue and corporate shenanigans in the other, and while I suppose it'd be nice to have them both wrapped up in one package (for Iron Man fans anyway) when the character is hot like Tony is right now, let him have his second book.

I say go for it, why not. It doubles the opportunity of having a good story.

Movie or no, I imagine it will sell well at least initially, being a high-profile Marvel book.
