But they don't you're delusional. You give conspiracy obsessed crackpots a bad name. Can I be a mod for just this thread? I would like to edit his posts and fire comic book writers.

Yoni, you're a creative guy. But there's no way you could edit his posts to make them funnier or more entertaining than they already are.

Robert Kirkman is a close personal friend. In fact he is next to me right now: he is detailing the success of his plan to destroy Vertigo by persuading Geoff Johns to fire Scott Snyder, Karen Berger, Rob Liefeld and Alan Moore. Fiendish, I thin kyou'll agree.

What about the other Vertigo news? That they are trying to re-tool themselves as a sci fi imprint, and Gail Simone is going to be spear-heading a new sci fi anthology book there with.....Damon Lindelof!

Lindelof doesn't bode well for Vertigo either.

Kirkman went to Marvel, failed marvelously, then ran away with his tail between his legs and a chip on his shoulder.

He didn't leave Marvel because he failed - he left Marvel because they refused to give him one of the big books (spefifically Ultimate Spider-Man). I can't help but wonder if he'd bided his time, joined the Brand New Day cycle of writers, he'd probably have a Jeff Parker level gig at Marvel, which is exactly the level at which I rate him.

This news is so big, ComicsAlliance actually published a same-day news story about it.

Seismic change in the industry.

The last time a creator went on "hiatus" it was Dustin Nguyen on Wildcats, and he never came back. This is as soft a cancellation as you can get, because Johns hates Vertigo, but doesn;'t want to hurt Snyder's feelings that the book failed.

Failed? It sells 15k an issue, which is positively a bestseller by Vertigo standards and DC obviously feels comfortable releasing a number of ancillary series. Scalped was doing like 6k by the end and that got to complete its run.
