Marvel to cancel current Ghost Rider book.
CBR is reporting that Marvel will be canceling Rob Williams' Ghost Rider ongoing. This new development will actually bring Marvel's total number of femal-character-led ongoings to zero, as slightly prematurely suggested elsewhere earlier this week

Meh, it was a mildly entertaining series but nothing spectacular and I won't really miss it.

Weird that DC has 7 (Batgirl, Batwoman, Birds of Prey, Catwoman, Wonder Woman, Voodoo & Supergirl) and Marvel has 0.

Literally good news. Get the series like x23, defenders and this out of here. Comic sales suck. Get rid of unnecessary shit like this. Let's get marvel down to around a dozen key titles

I agree entirely. Who really thinks Marvel are going to live or die on a Ghost Rider comic. If the new Marvel philosophy is Quality over Quantity, I'm all for it

If this is true.
It was not a bad book, I thought the female lead was a nice change, but the last issue where Johnny got a Space Motor-Cycle was a little dumb. Ghost Rider should not have plots IN space.

Marvel has never had a Wonder Woman-type character that I can think of. I liked the Ms. Marvel series from a few years ago, though. Spider-Woman was well received. Obviously, these characters work well with Avengers teams and there are similarly strong womon characters on the X-Teams. Hopefully, we see another book with a female lead sometimes soon but they stand the same chances at success as, say, Hawkeye. Fan favorite character who just can't sell a monthly.
In short, we're all doomed.

I can actually agree with that.

This may have saved my sanity. I can now disagree to some degree with him.

Speaking as someone who could give a damn about the first Ghost Rider story? The space motorcycle was awesome!
