Mayberry is who was writing Black Panther at the end, right? That might be why I was confused.
Yeah last issue was not great, but I am used to minis sucking in the middle these days.

Yeah, Hudlin wrote the first 6 issues of the last volume which had Doom taking out T'Challa, Storm going to Hell to fight for T'Challa's soul, and Shuri training to become the Black Panther then fighting Morlun to protect Wakanda.

Maberry took over after #6 and introduced the plot of the Desturi, the hidden organization inside Wakanda who planned to take over the country while T'Challa went underground and got involved with forbidden magick to upgrade and heal himself against Doom.

RE: Doomwar...It also didn't help that a QUARTER of the issue was a recap. I hate that, especially when there is a RECAP PAGE!!!! Jesus, just tell us you screwed up and make it one issue less.

Yeah, issue 3 was suppose to have a big Storm scene where she goes nuts on enemies but Maberry had to write it out to fit the recap. Marvel thought due to the sell out of the first issue, he should do a recap for the new readers who don't read Black Panther. Which sucks because I was really looking forward for that Storm scene.

Good thing about stuff like this Cap/Panther book is there isn't a whole lot of that bs.

Wait Storm had another scene where she was going ape on the rogue Wakanda faction? Meh.. it had enough Doom. That's good enough for me.
