Marvel to Replace More Characters' Brains with Doctor Octopus?

A first look at Superior Spider-Man #6AU seems to confirm rumors that Marvel intends to put Doctor Octopus's brain in more characters' heads.

Source: Press Release

Many fans were skeptical when they learned that popular hero Peter Parker would die and have his mind replaced by Doctor Octopus to become the Superior Spider-Man, but, despite a mildly rapey beginning, the book has gotten off to a pretty good start and most of the fanboy rage has subsided. As a result, Marvel seems to be exploring the possibility of putting Doctor Octopus's brain into more heroes and villains, starting with some Ultron clones in this preview of Superior Spider-Man #6AU, an Age of Ultron tie-in.

After lamenting the loss of a good portion of his wardrobe, on the final page, Doctor Spiderpuss appears to be using his spider-bots to transfer his consciousness to some attacking Ultron robots, causing them to sprout Doc Ock style tentacles from their backs, which will surely not arouse the suspicion of any of his Avengers colleagues. Is this a one-off event, or is it the beginning of a newer, edgier clone saga? We can only hope it's the latter, and that Age of Ultron will spin off immediately into another super mega event that forces readers to have to buy a bunch of confusingly numbered tie-in issues and changes the Marvel status quo forever until the next super mega event.

Check out the press release and preview below. Superior Spider-Man #6AU hits stores on March 27.

Well I can think of several Marvel characters that could do with a personality transfer.

It's definitely better than the Hitch art in the main AoU book.

Just because I don't know how to spell the language of some tiny African nation doesn't mean that I'm wrong in thinking that your attitude towards women is 100% wrong. Obviously, you're some skinny, single nerd living on the East Coast who probably derives value in life from wrestling matches, hoping that Wolverine gets to sleep with teenagers and engaging in casual drug use. You're literally the worst thing to happen to comics since Stan Lee.
