Following from the previous Marvel Universe Vs The Punisher and Marvel Universe Vs Wolverine, Marvel is presenting Marvel Universe Vs The Avengers.

This four-issue limited series will start in October and is written by Jonathan Mayberry with art by Leandro Fernandez. The story takes place in a world which is ravaged by a plague which turns most of our heroes into cannibalistic monsters. The starring character for the upcoming series will be Hawkeye, but we'll also see the other main characters in The Avengers, as well as the students at Avengers Academy.

Serious question: how is this different than Marvel Zombies (other than the Zombies books look like they're going for the humor these days...not sure since I gave up about 15 minis ago)?
