Matt Fraction and Pasqual Ferry Join THOR This September

Postby LOLtron » Mon Jun 07, 2010 4:47 pm

ImageThis September, superstars Matt Fraction, Pasqual Ferry and Matt Hollingsworth take the reins of Thor and begin a thunderous new direction!

In Thor #615, following the stunning events of Kieron Gillen’s acclaimed Thor epic, the ruins of Asgard are now a target and a dark, destructive force from another dimension is on its way to ravage all nine realms—including Earth. Only the mighty Thor can stand in their way, but, when the dust clears, nothing will ever be the same for the Marvel Universe!

“I can't WAIT to unleash our Thor on you unsuspecting humans,” said Fraction. “Things were intimidating enough when Pasqual, Matt, and I had to follow up JMS and Olivier-- that we've got to take up arms after Kieron and company's stellar stand makes it all the moreso. All we can promise you is that Thor will overflow with colossal and cosmic action, giant space gods smashing each other in the faces with hammers, and all of the earth trembling in the balance. In short: everything that has made Thor great.”

The perfect jumping-on point for new readers, a bold new era for Thor begins under Fraction, Ferry and Hollingsworth in Thor #615!

The art looks gorgeous on this.

As long as we get "Iron Man" Fraction and not "X-Men" Fraction, this should rock.

I liked it. While it wasn't as good as the first couple of arcs, I still enjoyed it.

Overall, I think Invincible Iron Man has been one of Marvel's more solid books.

Most Wanted was pretty good.

Not as good as the first arc, but I thought it was a strong story.

Overall, the book has been excellent.

I swear that Marvel's marketing dept has a template they follow for every solicit and they just plug-in the title and lead character's name :-D

Pascual Ferry does great job in terms of storytelling, but when it comes to pinups and covers, it's kind of weird looking.
The witness said Mr Brown then called out to Ms Hay's adult daughter: "Look at this, I'm tittie-f***ing your mother!".

Not a huge Ferry fan (look how little detail there is in the faces, it doesn't even look like Thor has eyes or lips in the second and third panels) but if this is as good as Fractions other Thor stuff it'll be fucking great.
