Not necessarily. He made a deal with Mephisto to make sure everything would be prepared for "the deal". To that end, he made sure the Other (that stupid Spider thing JMS created) would not involve Pete. Plus he trolled the third Mysterio. Fun he who shall not be named story.

Honestly, AvX interests me more but still no. I just cant get behind this new Sinister Six.
Mysterio - should still be dead
Sandman - shouldnt be a villain.
Doc Ock - looks stupid
Shocker - about as scary as a thumbtack
Do the rest even matter?

I love the sinister six. New or old. Some of the first comics I bought were the Return of the Sinister Six issues of Amazing Spider Man back in the early 90s.
