Saucer Country, a new Vertigo ongoing series, is coming soon.

It was announced today at NYCC that Paul Cornell will be writing a new ongoing series called Saucer Country for DC's Vertigo imprint. Cornell described the book as a mixture of The West Wing and X-Files and said that the book would focus on an Arizona politician's abduction by aliens the night before she announces her candidacy for president. Ryan Kelly will illustrate the book.

This does bode well for Vertigo.

Yup, because it's inconsequential that Vertigo's last ongoing series will have been released almost two years before Saucer Country hits stores.
