DMZ is an amazing series. I highly recommend it! The last year alone Woods has been doing his best work on the book.

I'll at least give the first trade a try one of these days.

I know almost no one cares, but I had to get some sleep after that Image Write-Up. I'll do the Vertigo write-up this evening.

Punchy - In this specific instance, your naivety lies in your assumption that Berger didn't know before we knew. That's not the way a corporation works. I guarantee you she was asked about acceptable losses , knew before her employees did, and has been working on solutions to the problems she faces as a result for considerably longer than a week.

It still doesn't mean they are ready to go public with anything does it?

True. But you seem to have this passive view toward comics companies: let them release only the info that they want, when they want, and fans should be content with that. A major change has occurred at Vertigo, a favorite publisher for many fans, and it would be interesting to know what kind of transition is taking place to accommodate these changes.

It would be interesting to know sure, but you're not going to get an answer from a crowd of people dressed up as Batman in a convention. They're there to pimp their wares, not to talk business restructuring.

I just said that if someone had asked what VS wanted them too, in all probability, you wouldn't get an answer, for various reasons.

I don't see why this is an issue, it makes perfect sense to me.

I don't like the dilution and the expanding of the Fables line. I don't like it at all.

You're probably right. But you never know what kind of answer you get. That's why journalists ask the same questions over and over again. Every now and then, they get lucky and someone actually gives an honest answer.

Well nobody in that crowd was a journalist, they were fans, those panels are for fans, they ask fan questions like will Boy Blue ever get his own mini-series and will Absolute Sandman be reprinted.

The point is they might say more than you expect, whether a journalist asks or a fan does.

I really don't think they will.

And somehow I'm the naive one!

I've seen no reason for worry. The shitty Fables Crossover was the only bad thing to ever come out of the Fables-verse.
