Once Upon a Time Gets Makes Comic Debut

Marvel announced that ABC's Once Upon a Time would make its comic book debut in an all new Original Graphic Novel

Source: Once Upon a Time Graphic Novel

Early this evening, Marvel announced that it would be adapting ABC's Once Upon A Time in an Original Graphic Novel, Once Upon A Time: Shadow Of The Queen.

From the Marvel website:

Dive into the immersive world of ABC’s "Once Upon a Time" like never before as Marvel Entertainment and Disney-ABC Television Group are proud to announce ONCE UPON A TIME: SHADOW OF THE QUEEN, an all-new original graphic novel hardcover inspired by the popular series.

The release of ONCE UPON A TIME: SHADOW OF THE QUEEN marks the first official graphic fiction tie-in to the hit ABC Studios series.

Hopefully, this will turn into a real special occasion for fans of the show who have been clamoring for a graphic representation for some time now....

Fuck it, I can't do this anymore.  ORIGINAL Graphic novel?! ORIGINAL?! What the bloody hell is that crap?  We get it, you came up with the idea of  Once Upon a Time on your own and never heard of Fables, but come the fuck on! What is this shit?

I don't know if I can even do this anymore, is no one going to call them out?

Fuuck!

To the tune of "The Circle Of Life"
THE CIRCLE OF STEALING....WHEN A COMIC BOOK GETS ADAPTED AS A TV SHOW AND GETS PASSED FOR ANOTHER TV SHOW WITH A NEAR IDENTICAL PREMISE WHICH THEN GETS MADE INTO A COMIC BOOK!

Since all the rules are apparently out the fucking window here, The Outhouse would like to announce our new line of comic books, in stores this summer:

  • Bullverine And The Y-Men: A gruff but wise Canadian scrapper with the berserker spirit of a bull and the sexual prowess of a tantric monk leads a team of young kids with genetic mutations, gifting them with powers that cause them to be despised and mistrusted by a world they've sworn to defend!
  • Arachnid-Guy: A friendless nerd gets imbued with the proportionate powers of an arachnid and suddenly befriends billionaires' sons, supermodels, and Emma Stone.  Also, he fights crime, but no gives a shit about that.
  • The Comeuppancers: And there came a day, a day unlike most others due to peculiar weather, amongst other factors, when Earth's strongest heroes and heroines found themselves trapped in an elevator that had stalled out between floors for over thirty minutes! They got to talking, since they had nothing better to do, and on that day, the Comeuppancers were born—to fight the foes no single super hero could withstand, and also to give teenagers their comeuppances, because fuck teenagers! Featuring Colonel USA, the Carbon Alloy Man, and Thor, a more historically accurate version of the God of Thunder! Through the years, their roster has prospered, changing many times based on the need for super mega crossover events and collectible #1 issues, but their glory has never been denied! Heed the call, then—for now, the Comeuppancers Convene!

Jesus Christ, Marvel. Goddamn.

Yes, we know that you are all owned body and soul by Disney, and you love poking the bear that is DC, but leave Vertigo out of your petty feud.

Place your bets on how many pages in before Wolverine has a cameo appearance ?

Four. Turns out Henry reads X-Men, when not reading his ancient Storybook.

I hope they ask Bill Willingham & Mark Buckingham to work on it. :P

I could see it being less than that, actually.
