From what we can see, the costume of the character in question looks almost identical to the costume that Emma Frost is wearing on the cover of issue #2. I agree that the hair is different though and she does look younger but that could be contributed to Bachalo's style. She is in the background, so it's possible that Bachalo simply didn't put much effort in because he didn't think it would be something that everyone would notice.

It's either a bad pic of Emma or not her. In cover two her hair is long, that's quite the growth.

I think Bachelo was just a piss poor artist

or since they released that cover, they've changed the hair style for Emma Frost... its really not that hard to figure out its emma.. we are the ONLY site that is even questioning it... both Newsarama and CBR say its Emma... i don't know why its that hard for this site to grasp that a character cut their hair... or the artist (especially one that's bachalo) drew the character a little differently in a newer image than they did in an older one.

this is the cover for number 1...

the most recent image is just a teaser image to promote the book.

From CBR's article about this image:

Marvel has released a teaser by Bachalo giving a better view of the book's initial cast of Cyclops, Emma Frost, Magik, Magneto and two other mutants (presumed to be Eva Bell and Christopher Muse from "All-New X-Men") with the caption, "One of these X-Men is a traitor!"

From Newsarama's article about the image:

A new teaser released today shows Cyclops, Magik, Magneto, Emma Frost, and two of their new mutant recruits, and announces "One of these X-Men is a traitor!"

I do not think it looks like emma
I think that the person looks too young and is hanging back with (other) students and since there are still issues of All-New X-men coming out why do you think its not hard to figure out that there might be one more student before Uncanny
I know Balacho has a style that differs from most, but he is consistant with himself, or did emma's look change day to day in his X-Men run that I don't remember?
I am content knowing that I maybe wrong

but "in the next issue her hair is longer" is not a strong argument in favor of a hair cut

so, between #1 and #2 she did not get a magical haircut that made her hair longer, good
the short hair is ugly

your case is stronger, and again I am content if I am wrong, but I am still holding on to the thought that it is a third student

and, since its just a teaser image - and therefore non-cannon - who the fuck cares?
