Image DAREDEVIL #95
Award-winning creators Ed Brubaker and Michael Lark begin their second big year on Daredevil with Matt Murdock’s return to New York and his old life in Daredevil #95. After being incarcerated alongside his greatest enemies and then a jaunt to Europe to find the mastermind behind his recent suffering, Daredevil has finally returned to patrol Hell’s Kitchen. But don’t think for a second that Brubaker and Lark are going to make Matt’s life any easier!

Not only does a deadly rogue from DD’s past begin a power play, but now Daredevil must deal with being an unregistered super hero in a post-Civil War U.S. Matt has already paid a high price for being Daredevil and that price is now higher than ever.

Ambush Bug of Ain’t It Cool News called Daredevil #93 “the single best issue of Daredevil I have read in…well, a long, long time.”

Matt Murdock has his job back, his girl back, and his best friend back. In Daredevil #95, Part 1 of “To The Devil His Due,” a post-Civil War status quo just may threaten to take everything away all over again.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #539
Image Hunted, his identity exposed, and those he loves caught in the crosshairs; Spider-Man’s life has been a nightmare during Civil War, and the darkest days are yet to come. Now, in the wake of Amazing Spider-Man #538’s shocking closing moment, the most recognizable character in comics has donned one of the most controversial costumes ever as he goes underground and back to his black duds and must fight back to reclaim his life. SPIDER-MAN: BACK IN BLACK! Now, there is NO going back!

The three previous BACK IN BLACK titles, Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #17, Sensational Spider-Man #35, and Spider-Man Family #1 have all sold out at Diamond. While some copies may still be available at a retail level, the rest are gone and Marvel currently has no plans to go back to press. But hold on to your webs, Spidey fans, because the biggest BACK IN BLACK title is still to come.

On March 21st, Peter goes on the offensive, and on the hunt, as Aunt May’s life hangs in the balance in Amazing Spider-Man #539, and when this story has finished, Spider-Man’s life, and the lives of those Peter Parker holds dearest, will never be the same again!

BACK IN BLACK is a smash success, and the shocks will continue to come all summer long, making 2007 the Summer of the Spider-Man! RETAILERS- check this week’s Marvel Mailer for a special incentive on Amazing Spider-Man #539, which FOC’s this week.

ImageSPIDER-MAN: REIGN #4
Witness the stunning conclusion to the book that has been too hot too stay on the shelves in Spider-Man: Reign #4. The first and second issues of this smash hit have soldout at Diamond, prompting a second printing of each. And then the second printing of the first issue sold out at Diamond as well, solidifying the series as one of the most buzz-worthy of the new year.

Corey Brotherson of Comixfan.com calls Spider-Man: Reign “a well-made, adventurous, visceral and downright engaging series.”

Steve Ekstrom of Newsarama.com says, “Spider-Man: Reign should be considered a standard bearer for any of Marvel’s futuristic tales starring any of its time honored roster. If that’s not a strong enough recommendation…then I don’t know what else I could say. Please go out and buy this mini-series!”

Kaare Andrews’s chilling look into Spider-Man’s future has left fans amazed at the sight of a feeble and aged Peter Parker forced back into the mantle of Spider-Man and the conclusion in issue #4 is one that can’t be missed.

See why Venom has gone to such great lengths to lure Spider-man out. Can an elderly Spider-man defeat the vicious and sinister symbiote? Or will another hero have to step up to save the city?

This is an issue that fans cannot miss. If Spider-Man: Reign #4 is anything like its predecessors, this issue is sure to fly off the shelves so make sure you secure your copy!

Retailers are advised to rethink their orders on this final issue as every other issue has been a major sellout.

MOON KNIGHT #8
Image The Civil War shows up at Moon Knight’s door in Moon Knight #8, but just whose side is Marc Spector on?

Three months ago, Marc Spector found himself. He learned to cope with his pain and return as the vigilante Moon Knight. Now, he’s back on the job and handing out beatings to anyone stupid enough to break the law.

Unfortunately for him, the times are changing. The Superhuman Registration Act means that now, there are rules to the game that Moon Knight plays - rules that he won’t like. When a fugitive Captain America shows up, wanting a word, will Marc Spector forget the “fun stuff” and get involved in Civil War after all?

The second story arc of the best-selling title Moon Knight brings guest stars galore and ties into the Civil War causing havoc throughout the Marvel Universe. But the super hero Civil War isn’t the only thing on Moon Knight’s mind. Someone is leaving clues for him at old crime scenes and the clues are…bodies? And old face from Spector’s past is about to return and they have a large axe to grind.

Join best-selling author Charlie Huston and superstar artist David Finch as they continue Moon Knight’s return to prominence in Moon Knight #8.

FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN #18
ImageThe first issue of Spider-Man’s Back in Black event, Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #17, has sold out at Diamond.

For Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #17, WizardUniverse.com compared it to the original appearance of the Spider-Man’s black costume, saying, “Don’t miss out on this landmark re-emergence that could become the next Amazing Spider-Man #252.”

Adam Chapman’s review on Comixtreme.com proclaimed, “Great work by the entire creative team. Recommended!”

Marvel has no plans at this time to go back to press on Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #17. Retailers are advised to increase their orders on upcoming issues of Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man as well as other Back in Black titles Amazing Spider-Man, Sensational Spider-Man, and Spider-Man Family.

Don’t miss Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #18 as Back in Black continues with Spidey teaming with his long-time enemy, the Sandman, to save an innocent man on death row accused of the recent killing of…Uncle Ben? It’s action and adventure featuring everyone’s favorite arachnid in his fan-favorite duds.

Note, copies of Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #17 may still be available at the retailer level. This the mysterious first re-appearance of the black costume, and the start of a deadly new phase in Peter’s life, so be sure to snag copies while they are available.
