Here's the thing though (and I learned to accept this in 2009), DC in its current state doesn't give a Rat's Fuck about the 90's fans. They see people like us as misguided fools, at best and as how certain segments of the Transformers Generation 1 Fans used to(?) see Beast Wars fans (The one that went Trucky not Monkee, for example), at worst. If this reboot gets rid of all of us forever, they'll consider it "Mission Accomplished", even if they don't act like that classless ass Alex Ross did when Green Lantern: Rebirth came out.
They can't get rid of us. We'll find a way into the industry one way or another. Mark my words. All it takes is fresh blood once that happens. You won't be seeing the Hal or Barry's any longer.

In September, Bleeding Cool has been told to expect a new Green Lantern team book, made up of one member from each of the differing Lantern emotional colour spectrum. Green, Yellow, Red, Blue, Indigo, Violet, Orange…. and Black?
Care Bear Stares each and every month! And some kind of Tyler Kirkham involvement.

Right now the writers are the ones that read comics in the 70's and 80's. It will be at least a decade before somebody who's first brush with DC are the 90's characters takes over writing duties.

Honestly if everything is well written and they try and do new things and not just rehash old stories I am all behind this. I hope it last for 10 years or more if this is the case.

I hope it happens, and I hope our generation takes what has happened in this era and learns from the mistakes that were made in the Dark, Millennial and Current Modern Ages and truly embraces a DCU that's not afraid to evolve and change.
For me. I'll be focusing on my own creations. I want to make my own way.

I think it will last for sure, if successful. This is the Big Push from DC.

Exactly if the stories are well written and awesomely drawn then it makes the characters in the book cool not vice versa.

What's with all the TNG style collars on all those characters?

I know, right?
I'm actually excited about a Jim Lee Justice League book but I'm realistic about what that'll mean. Still, I'll probably pick up the first issue.
It's been a WHILE since I've picked up a DC book.

They're getting it! It's taken years but.. they're getting it!
I can't believe I am agreeing with you on this, but I am totally excited about the potential for greatness that this has coming.

Other than THUNDER Agents, which never feels like a DC books, me too.
I'm really interested to see how this goes, from a casual spectator's viewpoint. Who knows, maybe I'll give a few books a try?

Last in what sense? That they won't have another major reboot within the next 5 years? Is this regime really capable of not pulling out a Crisis over that length of time?
