Ghost Rider: Trail of Tears is a story about a American Civil War veteran by the name of Traivs Parham. He was saved from the war by a former slave called Caleb and the two of them became friends in the time Parham spent at Caleb’s home. Parham then decided to hide out west however he returned to Caleb’s two years later and found out that Caleb and his family were tortured and brutally murdered by a group of slave-owners. Parham has spent most of issue #2 and #3 looking for them with not much else happening. This issue ends with a ghostly figure punishing a member of the group of slave-owners drawning and quartering him using horses.

What started off as such a promising title has slowly degraded into crap. Ennis is usually a great writer however Ghost Rider: Trail of Tears feels very slow as if nothing’s happening. While Ennis may be taking a vacation on this title, Crain is delivering his usually goodness which is a highlight but for the time being, I’ll wait until the trade to pass final judgment.

To discuss.
