I used to have the TPB, but the binding on it was shit. I'll be picking up the OHC this week.

I have never read Avengers Forever. Don't have any plans to any time soon.

Am not. It was twelve issues of mind numbing nonsense, where every other issue is just one long monologue by a character reframing 'who gives a shit' moments of Avenger's past. You could throw half the series out and the book would still be boring as shit.

Plus, I hate 'Goliath' Hawkeye with a passion.

Funny as Clint never actually used the goliath powers in the series and picked up a bow and arrow pretty fast.

It is hands down, one of the best avengers stories of all time and showed how to use Kang/Immortus/avengers history, The first real appearance of the agents of atlas, skrulls, kree and the list goes on.

It was a fun story filled with many great moments and still holds up against any Bendis story to this day.

Yes. I've read it. And it's 'Goliath' era Hawkeye, with that hideous costume, regardless if he used a bow or not.

Kang's cool, Immortus' is kinda cool, 60s Avengers were cool, etc. I have no problem with the plot, but how the story was told. You'd have an issue of the Avengers bouncing around like clueless morons/cliffhanger/issue of Kang recapping his personal history to his boudoir/cliffhanger leading to an issue with some slight action/cliffhanger/issue of Immortus digging lint out of his navel/cliffhanger/wash/repeat/etc.

Loved the movie. It's not as strong as his older stuff, and it's definitely geared more to kids, but it has his loving attention to detail. It's as beautiful as anything he's ever done.










Oh, and Avenger's Forever sucks.
