Why was Phonogram recalled?

That shouldn't have had any effect on whether or not you picked this up anyway. :x

The thing is, no comic shops in the UK use the barcodes!

I'll be offline most of the rest of today. I'll have a pick up tonight or sunday.

Why not? Incompatible with the UK system? Laziness? Can't figure out what to do with the cigar box once they get actual cash registers?

Joking aside, why not?

There has to be a simple program that would make the conversion, even capable of adjusting for the fluctuation in value from week to week.

Friend of mine, also a comic book reader, is a chef. Non-pastry, also.

Shops work out the price point for themselves, and it stays relatively stable, they wouldn't be able to keep a customer base if the price of a comic was changing every week, people couldn't budget.

My shop has their own printed barcodes they use, they check each book to see it's US price, and then scan the Barcode that corresponds (eg $2.99 = £2.10) and then total it all.

Okay, yeah, I'm confused, this was basically a random ghost fight and some mumbo-jumbo. It was well-constructed, but since the only other L&K I've read is the very first issue, I was really fucking lost, It's another situation like Mice Templar 2 #1, where It's my fault for not enjoying it, and not the book's, if I was caught up, this would have been much better. It's hard to review a book in a situation like this.

Hmmm.

If you're still in a bad mood, read Batman/Doc Savage and come to my thread about it. It isn't quite as egregious as Sky Doll, but close.
