The dollar issues are a strange thing. We order them like they are FCBD books, cause they cost about the same after discount. If we don't sell through them we hand them out. I still sell Unwritten #1's on ebay for two bucks and hand them out in the store all the time. It's great for trade sales. We did the same with the After Watchmen books, and I imagine we will do it for the upcoming Marvel books and the Walking Dead #1 reprint as well.

I never knew that, which is why you're the LCS expert

Maybe I shouldn't have revealed that, Punchy and his boytoy twigglet will just drive him away again.

Welcome back.

Nah, nothing like that, but thanks. I hear fourthy's first step out of the closet caused quite a stir, and I just hope I can abide under the new restrictions. Perhaps a SFT or "Safe for Taliban" skin should be engineered to protect people from all the scary pictures?

I got hosed on a bunch of comics at an auction last week, but I bought a big lot of Heavy Metal magazines from the '80s and '90s with lots of Richard Corben goodness, etc. Whoa, I'd forgotten how much amazing work HM put out back then. Defy this statement at your peril!

So, ok--the toys in JtB have sort of analogous personalities to their ids, the transformer thing is like a robot, the soldier thing is like a well, soldier...the Batman toy is wounded, but neither Robin or Superman is helping him out. What's up with that?

Basically, I picked it up because it was only a dollar but I'm not interested enough to keep on reading it.
