Your argument has confused me very much. What exactly has been the status of the mansion? I don't understand what's going on

shit was rubble, now it's not.

it has been so seldom mentioned (and almost never in a BENDIS book) that some readers (like me, who are obviously stupid since they don't keep track of every little detail of the thousands of comics they have read in the past seven years) might be confused as to it even still existing.

That was fairly blunt

The Mansion got blown up in Disassembled. Tony has now finally had it rebuilt.

There's things I like and things I don't like. Immonen's art is excellent and I like having Ms. Marvel and Iron Fist on the team but this is more of a Bendis-influenced book than Avengers. What I mean is that it's pretty obvious Bendis got to pick the characters he wanted to do the stories he wants to do. I like that in theory but Bendis hasn't impressed me since his Daredevil run. He's niether a good writer or a bad writer.

Also, it's kinda redundant that Marvel decided to have this as a #1.

thefourthman wrote:okay, so fucking Hawkeye pins a fucking news story to it two years later, so now we are at five years and nary a mention, must less anything about repairs (or why the fuck Tony would repair it anyhow - Maybe Pepper did while he was all comatose), until it is magically repaired when the bullshit team needs a house.

We've seen the Mansion rubble almost every time the Young Avengers have been featured in something, it was their standard meeting place.

And it's Avengers Mansion, of course Tony repaired it! It's a staple. When he did it doesn't really matter, time is flexible and shit.

How he got the money to do it since he's currently broke in IIM? That's another question.

My point was, in the end, that it is shoddy writing. Bendis has not cared enough to make it a presence in his own stories, it is unfair to assume that all Avengers fans must read everything and have the Official Geekbooks to Everything Marvel and their pets too! and would therefore know what its status is outside of the book in question. A new reader might not even know that it was destroyed or that Stark tower exists (there fore it would not be a problem) and it isn't as much a problem to the Marvel Zombies cause they are willing to explain it away, "It's Magic" always works.
Not to mention that Tony would not have had the time or inclination since Civil War and there is no motive, especially if it was just to be able to give it to Cage to shut him the fuck up.

It remains shoddy writing.

Just like the thunder clap.

Just like the snide comments by Wolverine about how all of them can be in whatever books they want to be in.

I don't mind it, I don't even mind that it is pretty excessive, I mind that he has never done it before to my knowledge.

It's bad storytelling not having an explanation for the Mansion but it's such a staple of the Avengers that it makes sense it was rebuilt. Do we need to know who or why it was rebuilt? Only if it's a part of a story otherwise who gives a shit.
